With the Gen Y Project, we're building a community.  We're connecting people who want to come together to share their ideas, leave their wisdom, express their creativeness, and expand possibilities for the future.  The connected generation's creed is to Get Involved! 

If you are interested in getting involved in the Gen Y Project, first consider if you can answer "Yes!" to any of these questions:

How Can You Get Involved?

The Gen Y Project is at least an 8 month project (November, 2006 - June, 2007). We're looking for people who have a desire to express themselves in the following ways:

• Search the Web - find the best examples of cool, unique, new, hip, hot, creative, stylish, or informative - link us to it through http://del.icio.us/thegenyproject.
• Share your thoughts - post to the blog, be a junior author to our book, share your opinions, link to others
• Record interviews - talk to interesting and informative people; record your interviews and post them to our site. Or, assist us in recording, editing, uploading and promoting the interviews with experts we conduct.
• Join our Coaching Team - We want to offer professional coaching services to Connected Generation Leaders and future leaders.  If you are an experienced coach and you are coaching young leaders or Generation Y individuals, you may be perfect for our coaching team. Click here to read the requirements.
• Identify Great People - Is there a great leader, an interesting company, or a little-known renegade, specific to an industry that you follow, that you'd like to hear more from?  Let us know.  We'll contact them, interview them, and post that information for you.
• Use Your Marketing Expertise - We're looking for bloggers, marketing experts, advertising employees, market researchers and other media savvy individuals who want to challenge themselves and build their own portfolio by finding unique, innovative, and original ways to market products to Generation Y.
• Expand Your Network - To grow this community of learners and leaders we'll need people who are willing to invite others to this experience.  Connect your network to ours through our technology and expand the possibilities of learning and sharing exponentially.
• Update Our Content Pages - The Web is ever-changing and growing.  Our site needs to be fresh, informative, accurate, and empowering to our community. This means our website, blog, "Facebook" and "MySpace" locations must be current.  If you have, or would like to supply original content in line with our goals we'd like to know more about you.
• Transform Technology - As technology changes, so does Generation Y.  If you have a love of technological advances and would like to invest time in keeping ours current, relevant, and operational, we have a space for you.
• Accuracy Creates Credibility - If you naturally notice every misspelled word, out of place comma, or dangling participle then you could be an editor for us.  You know that professionalism increases when the details are right.  Join us in editing our sites, our books, and our publications.
• Design develops Intimacy - Good design attracts an emotional and physical connection with an object or space.  We need people who are creative, design-oriented, and can stimulate the senses.  This means graphics, film, audio, book cover design, or many other opportunities are available to show your creative side.
